Side effects of Ultraformer
After an ULTRAFORMER III treatment there is mild redness for a few hours; sometimes swelling or tingling may occur in the treated area and can last up to a few weeks. Rarely, bruising and a feeling of numbness may appear at the treated sites, subsiding within 2–4 weeks of the procedure.
Treatment discomfort
The Ultraformer III treatment is minimally painful, but to make it as comfortable as possible an anaesthetic cream is applied before the procedure and the patient is advised to take paracetamol two hours beforehand. Many patients report that treatment on the Ultraformer III is less uncomfortable than on other focused-ultrasound devices, and the sensations settle immediately after the treatment.
The Ultraformer III procedure step by step
Before the Ultraformer III treatment, the doctor performs a detailed consultation and a facial analysis with the Quantificare camera, which gives a detailed, precise view of all facial structures — important both for creating the treatment plan and for tracking and comparing results. Then, using Clarius ultrasound diagnostics, we determine the depth of the SMAS layer to select the correct working depth (2 mm, 3 mm, 4.5 mm, 6 mm…). The patient first holds anaesthetic cream on the treatment area for about ten minutes; then, on cleansed and disinfected skin, we apply enough ultrasound gel to ensure proper contact between the Ultraformer applicator and the skin. Based on the Clarius ultrasound measurement taken earlier, we set the parameters and working depth.
The treatment itself takes about 1–1.5 hours, is minimally painful and has no downtime.
